LE PUPILLE Poggio Valente

LE PUPILLE Poggio Valente

The history of Poggio Valente began in 1996 when Elisabetta Geppetti decided to buy a beautiful, 12-hectare-vineyard near Pereta. The project aimed to immediately replace about half the vineyard and, at the moment of making a choice, Elisabetta decided to invest all – once again – in Sangiovese. Consequently, four Sangiovese clones were selected and since 1997, in Poggio Valente they have produced a Morellino di Scansano Cru that is much loved and awaited year on year by the most demanding palates. In 2006, the last harvest of the old vineyard took place. The adventure begins again and… the project started ten years ago has been concluded with the replanting of the remaining area of the vineyard.
