The name Vigne Nuove comes from the first fruits obtained from the new vines planted in Popoli. It is a pure Montepulciano fermented in stainless steel tanks to valorise freshness and fragrance of the intact fruit which are characteristics of the Montepulciano of these areas. It was thought to be consumed the following year after the harvest, even though the potential and exuberance of the product would guarantee a glorious aging. The intense violet ruby colour invites you to discover the aromas of this Montepulciano d’Abruzzo that does not engage in any contact with oak. The obvious varietal aromas remember red fruit, sour black cherry with hints of wild berry. It has a great structure and concentration, wonderfully sustained from an obvious acidity. The tannins are striking and perfectly mature giving this wine a surprisingly round taste.
